Kodak says you can print 349 pages of black-and-white documents on a single cartridge, or about 3 cents per page. HP says its black-and-white cartridges cost about 2.7 cents a page. Naturally, testing schemes differ.
Kodak says using its top grade, five-star photo paper can produce an average of 105 color 4-by-6 snapshots, about 14 cents per print. Using a "value pack" with 180 sheets of lower-grade, three-star photo paper, knocks the price to about 10 cents a print, Kodak says.
